Solutions Executive
A growing life sciences data and analytics company is seeking a Solutions Executive to support its continued commercial expansion across biotech and biopharma markets.
This organisation specialises in:
- Bioinformatics
- AI/ML-enabled analytics
- Multi-omics data integration
- Translational research & precision medicine
The company works closely with biotech and pharma clients, supporting programmes across oncology, immunology, and other advanced therapeutic areas through a combination of data science expertise and embedded delivery services.
The Opportunity
This is a full-cycle commercial role focused on:
- Generating and converting pipeline
- Managing outreach and lead qualification
- Running discovery conversations with scientific stakeholders
- Supporting proposal development and deal closure
The successful individual will be comfortable engaging with both technical and commercial stakeholders, ranging from translational scientists through to senior leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation
- Build targeted prospect lists across biotech and pharma accounts
- Conduct outbound outreach via email, LinkedIn, conferences, and referrals
- Manage CRM activity, pipeline progression, and reporting
- Contribute to campaign messaging and outbound strategy
Deal Management
- Lead discovery and qualification calls
- Deliver tailored platform and capability presentations
- Work with technical teams to scope client solutions and proposals
- Manage opportunities through to contract signature
- Handle objections and support negotiations
Commercial Operations
- Track and report pipeline activity and commercial metrics
- Maintain understanding of platform capabilities and service offerings
- Support creation of sales collateral and case studies
- Attend conferences and client meetings where required
Ideal Background
- Experience within life sciences software, bioinformatics, genomics, data analytics, or related scientific technology markets
- Proven experience generating leads and closing commercial opportunities
- Comfortable managing the full sales cycle independently
- Able to engage credibly with scientific stakeholders in areas such as genomics, NGS, translational research, or multi-omics
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Desirable Experience
- Bioinformatics or computational biology background transitioning into commercial roles
- Experience in AI/ML, spatial biology, digital pathology, or precision medicine environments
- Exposure to cloud platforms, data governance, or trusted research environments
- Startup or scale-up experience
- Professional services or consultative sales exposure
