Data Engineer – Remote (UK-Based)

We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a highly acquisitive, fast-growing organisation that’s driving a major digital transformation.
The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data infrastructure to support the organisation’s expanding data and analytics needs. This includes leading the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud-based platforms, managing APIs for seamless data exchange, and ensuring data quality, security, and reliability across all systems.
You’ll play a key role in developing and optimising ETL pipelines, automating data workflows, and supporting integration between core business systems such as Microsoft Dynamics. Strong hands-on experience with Azure, SQL, and Python-based data engineering is essential.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and deliver data migration projects from legacy systems to modern, cloud-based environments. CRM experience would be highly advantagous here.
- Design, develop, and optimise ETL pipelines and automated data workflows.
- Collaborate across IT and business functions to define data requirements and deliver efficient solutions.
- Manage and maintain data integrations and APIs for seamless information flow between systems.
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are upheld.
- Support analytics and reporting through high-quality, structured data models.
- Produce documentation and technical reports covering data models, pipelines, and architecture.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience delivering data migration or integration projects, ideally with ERP/CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics.
- Strong technical skills in Python, including libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
- Hands-on experience with ETL design, data warehousing, and relational databases (SQL).
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and data modelling techniques.
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP also considered).
- Experience working with APIs and tools like Postman for integration testing and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
