Data Migration Specialist (City of London)

Data Migration Engineer – Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE)

Largely remote with 1 x per month team meeting in person

Permanent | Competitive salary and bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Data Migration Engineer to join a high-impact transformation programme, delivering end-to-end CRM data migrations into Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE.

This role will suit a hands-on data professional with strong technical capabilities in data engineering and significant experience working with Microsoft / Azure data tools. You'll play a key role in standardising and migrating data from a diverse range of legacy systems into a centralised Dynamics 365 CE environment.

You’ll lead the full data migration lifecycle and work closely with technical and functional stakeholders to ensure a smooth, high-quality transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes into Dynamics 365 CE modules (e.g., Sales, Customer Service, Field Service).
  • Work with legacy CRM systems, spreadsheets, databases, and proprietary platforms to extract data.
  • Map and transform data into Dynamics 365 CE entities such as Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Cases, and Opportunities.
  • Cleanse, deduplicate, and align data with standardised data models and business logic.
  • Build, test, and maintain data pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory or KingswaySoft / SSIS.
  • Perform data profiling, validation, and reconciliation to ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and data owners to refine data mappings and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support trial migrations, UAT cycles, and final production cutovers.

About You

  • Proven experience in data engineering and CRM data migration, ideally within a Dynamics 365 CE or Microsoft Dataverse environment.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure data services including Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, or Dataflows.
  • Practical experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, KingswaySoft, SSIS, or Power Platform Dataflows.
  • Proficiency in SQL / T-SQL and relational databases.
  • Solid understanding of data migration principles: mapping, transformation, cleansing, validation.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a senior or lead capacity, independently managing migration workstreams.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a transformative programme at a pivotal stage and make a measurable impact. If you're ready to take on a key data leadership role within a collaborative environment, we’d love to hear from you.
