Employment Lawyer

Our client, a rapidly growing global technology company, is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join its expanding legal team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused employment specialist to become the lead employment law advisor within a dynamic, international business operating across multiple jurisdictions.

As a trusted partner to Legal, People, and business leaders, you will provide strategic and practical employment law advice to support a fast-scaling workforce. The role offers broad exposure to complex cross-border employment matters, international expansion initiatives, and the opportunity to help shape employment law strategy across a truly global organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary legal advisor on employment and labour law matters across a diverse international workforce.
  • Partner closely with People, Talent, and business leaders on the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, performance management, investigations, disciplinary matters, grievances, workplace accommodations, and terminations.
  • Support the business through periods of growth, organisational change, restructuring, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Lead and manage employment disputes, litigation, regulatory investigations, and external counsel relationships.
  • Develop and maintain employment-related policies, procedures, and governance frameworks that align with the company's culture and growth objectives.
  • Monitor legislative developments and emerging employment law trends globally, providing practical and proactive guidance to stakeholders.
  • Deliver training and guidance to managers and HR teams on employment law risks, best practices, and compliance obligations.

Skills Required:

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales 5+ years PQE
  • Significant post-qualification experience specialising in employment law, gained in a leading law firm, in-house legal team, or a combination of both.
  • Strong experience advising multinational organisations on cross-border employment matters.
  • Proven ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Experience supporting technology, software, digital, or other high-growth businesses is highly desirable.
  • Comfortable working independently as the dedicated employment law specialist while collaborating effectively within a broader legal team.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build credibility across all levels of an organisation.
  • Practical, solutions-oriented, and able to navigate ambiguity in a rapidly evolving environment.
