Overview
A leading fintech and technology business is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join its legal team on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this is a commercially focused role within a fast-paced, growing organisation undergoing significant transformation and expansion.
The position has been created to support a high volume of legal work across the business, covering complex commercial contracting, technology agreements, data protection and privacy matters, intellectual property, licensing arrangements and strategic business projects. The successful candidate will operate as a senior member of the legal team, partnering closely with key stakeholders and providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice.

Key Requirements
- Experienced commercial lawyer with approximately 8+ years' PQE, although candidates with more or less experience who can demonstrate the required skill set will also be considered.
- Strong background negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements, including technology, SaaS, software, licensing, outsourcing and master services agreements.
- Exceptional data protection and privacy expertise, including advising on complex domestic and international GDPR matters.
- Experience advising on intellectual property, technology procurement and digital products.
- Commercially minded lawyer capable of balancing legal risk with business objectives.
- Experience supporting technology, fintech, SaaS, payments or other regulated businesses would be highly advantageous.
- Comfortable operating autonomously whilst partnering closely with senior stakeholders.

Working Arrangements
- Predominantly remote/home-based role.
