Role Summary

Purpose of the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Professional to join a fast growing part of our business. The role will initially be split between delivering a payroll implementation service, and maintaining a small portfolio of Payroll Managed Service clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Data migration activities; data cleansing, analytics and verification of payroll calculations
  • Building payroll system, to include activities such as custom reports, automations and integrations
  • Configuring all relevant payroll processing elements such as pensions, pay elements, GL Files, oand ccupational leave schemes
  • Ensuring the system is built to be fully compliant with current payroll legislation and GDPR
  • Guiding our clients through user-acceptance testing and parallel runs
  • Training and enabling clients on how to use the software and our service to maximize their return on investment
  • Assist with ongoing quality assurance and payroll audit procedures
  • Supporting with BAU payroll processing activities for our existing clients

Desired Skills and Experience

Experience of the full end-to-end payroll process in the UK; client payroll or in-house

  • Previous experience of one or more payroll system migration projects
  • Strong Excel Skills, to include competency with with pivot tables, vlookups and similar advanced formulae
  • Experience of Sage People Payroll or Brain Payroll
  • Experience managing high volume payroll(s)
  • Payroll Bureau Experience
  • Knowledge of P11Ds/payrolled benefits
  • Confidence in both running, and participating in client calls and meetings
  • Time Management skills and ability to manage own workload
  • Flexibility where required
