The Role

We're looking for a Business Development Manager to own and grow our wealth management and IFA channel across the UK.

This isn't a cold-start role. We have over 500+ warm introductions into wealth management firms ready to activate, alongside a growing reputation in the market. What we need is someone who knows the Wealth Management and IFA world inside out - someone with a genuine black book of IFA and wealth manager relationships, and the credibility to open doors at senior levels.

You'll be responsible for the full sales cycle: identifying the right firms, running discovery conversations, presenting Kinvault's value proposition, and closing deals. You'll work closely with the founding team to shape how we go to market and refine our messaging based on what you're hearing in the field.

Day to day, you'll be:

  • Building and managing a pipeline of wealth managers and IFA firms across the UK
  • Leveraging our existing network of 500+ introductions alongside your own connections
  • Running consultative sales conversations with compliance heads, practice principals, and senior advisers
  • Positioning Kinvault around real buying triggers - Consumer Duty pressure, poor bereavement experiences, and the looming generational wealth transfer allowing firms to significantly increase their retained AUM.
  • Attending industry events and using them as genuine business development opportunities
  • Feeding market insight back into the team to sharpen our product and positioning
  • Tracking activity and pipeline in our CRM with discipline and transparency

Who You Are

  • You have a strong track record of selling SaaS / technology solutions / non-traditional financial service products into IFAs, wealth managers, or financial planning firms (2 years minimum)
  • You bring an existing network of relationships in the IFA and wealth management space - people who'll take your call
  • You're comfortable selling a relatively early-stage product where the story matters as you help us shape the market
  • You understand the language of financial advisers - AUM, client retention, Consumer Duty, platform integrations - and can hold your own in those conversations
  • You're self-motivated, structured, and happy working with a small, fast-moving team
  • You're commercially sharp but genuinely care about the problem we're solving
  • Potentially experienced in a startup or scale-up where you've helped build the sales playbook, not just followed one
