Product Owner
Product Owner / Manager (Financial Data Platform) | £50,000 - £70,000 | London (Hybrid)
We’re looking for a hands-on Product Owner / Manager to join a fast-growing fintech scale-up, working across a core financial data platform and internal technology infrastructure. This is a delivery-focused role where you’ll sit directly with engineering teams, helping turn product direction into clear, actionable work and ensuring squads stay unblocked and shipping effectively.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning and maintaining the product backlog across core data and platform teams
- Translating business and SME requirements into clear engineering-ready specs
- Writing acceptance criteria and supporting UAT and release sign-off
- Working closely with engineers in an agile delivery environment (stand-ups, planning, retros, etc.)
- Supporting discovery, feature scoping, and analysis alongside senior product leadership
- Improving documentation (process flows, data definitions, decision logs, etc.)
- Helping identify and resolve cross-team dependencies between squads
- Building working understanding of data flows to spot issues and inconsistencies
What we’re looking for:
- 2–4 years’ experience in a Product Owner / Manager or delivery role
- Experience working closely with software engineering teams in an agile environment
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Process-driven mindset with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with data concepts (APIs, schemas, pipelines)
- Experience in financial services or data platforms is a plus (not essential)
- Someone proactive, structured, and comfortable working closely with senior stakeholders
