Business Development Manager

About Klyk

At Klyk, we're on a mission to eliminate waste from the business technology ecosystem. As a certified B Corp, we help modern companies adopt a Circular IT model — reducing cost, carbon emissions, and operational complexity.

We provide:

  • Sustainable Procurement: Sourcing high-quality hardware and mobile telecoms with a focus on longevity.
  • Managed Services: Comprehensive IT support, cybersecurity, and strategic advisory.
  • Circular Lifecycle: End-to-end asset management including responsible recycling and data erasure.

Our customers include some of the UK's most impactful and high-growth organisations — including B Lab UK, Wild, THIS, SURI, and Field Energy.

Now, we're building the next evolution of Klyk: a modern platform that brings together IT, hardware, and cybersecurity. We need a relentless business developer to drive the growth that fuels this vision.

More about the role

We are looking for a true \"Hunter\" with a modern mindset.

This is a Founding Sales role. You won't be handed a massive team or a pre-warmed list of leads. Instead, you will bring a \"scale-first\" approach to prospecting—using modern sales tools and automation to do the work of three people.

You aren't just making 50 random calls a day; you are orchestrating high-volume, high-quality outreach campaigns. You know how to leverage technology to identify the right prospects, get in front of them, and close the deal.

Location: Our office in London, Acton (Hybrid) Start: ASAP

What you will do

Hunt and close business

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close. You are the engine of our growth.
  • Pitch our full suite of services—from mobile contracts and hardware leasing to complex IT support packages—to COOs, IT Managers, and Heads of People.
  • Be the face of Klyk, translating our sustainability mission into a commercial no-brainer.

Drive Efficiency & Scale

  • Bring a \"Sales Ops\" mindset to your daily hunting. You know how to use tools (like HubSpot, Apollo, Clay, Outreach, etc.) to generate scale and minimize manual admin.
  • Run data-driven outbound campaigns. You test subject lines, iterate on messaging, and optimize your funnel constantly.
  • Focus your energy on high-value conversations by automating the low-value repetitive tasks.

Strategic partnerships

  • Develop a channel strategy by partnering with VCs, accelerators, and the B Corp ecosystem to drive referrals.
  • Network relentlessly. You should be the person everyone in the sustainable business space knows.

What we look for in a Klyker sales proffesional:

  • Are a \"Modern\" Seller: You are comfortable with the latest sales tech stack. You understand that the modern sales process relies on data, enrichment, and automation to scale.
  • Love the \"Chase\": You genuinely enjoy the process of finding a lead, nurturing it, and getting it over the line. Rejection doesn't phase you; it motivates you.
  • Are Commercially Astute: You understand how to sell value, not just price. You can explain how Sustainable IT saves money and the planet.
  • Are a Self-Starter: You don't need a manager to tell you who to call today. You build your own lists and manage your own day.
  • Communicate with Impact: Whether it's a cold email or a pitch deck, you know how to grab attention and drive action.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Proficiency with CRM automation and sales engagement platforms.
  • An existing network within the UK startup/scaleup world

Why Join Klyk

  • Purpose-driven sales Sell a solution that companies feel proud to buy. You aren't pushing vapourware; you are helping companies reduce their carbon footprint.
  • High Ownership You are the tip of the spear. The revenue you bring in directly funds our product development and mission.
  • Uncapped Potential Strong Unit Economics, strong earning potential & ability to shape the sales function as it scales.
  • Values-led culture As a B Corp, we prioritise flexibility, fairness, environmental impact, and long-term thinking.
