Process Architect

Our Enterprise Architecture function, based in Stoke, is seeking a highly capable Process Architect to support the design, build and ongoing governance of a new enterprise-wide process taxonomy.
This role will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure our business processes are clearly defined, mapped using BPMN 2.0 methodology, and aligned with our application catalogue and operating model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, structure and maintain the enterprise process taxonomy to ensure clarity, ownership and consistency across the business.
- Map and document business processes using BPMN 2.0 to provide standardised, high-quality representations of end-to-end workflows.
- Align processes with the organisation’s application catalogue and wider operating model, identifying gaps, overlaps and improvement opportunities.
- Engage and work collaboratively with stakeholders across service lines and support functions to capture, validate and refine business processes.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions to simplify complex processes and translate business needs into clear, structured process documentation.
- Establish and maintain governance for process documentation including versioning, quality control and lifecycle management.
- Support the Enterprise Architecture team in ensuring processes, systems and capabilities are consistently and coherently integrated.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process standardisation, optimisation and simplification.
What You Will Bring:
- Proven experience in process architecture, business process modelling or similar process-focused roles.
- Strong expertise in BPMN 2.0 and modern process mapping techniques.
- Experience in developing and governing enterprise process taxonomies.
- Ability to align process documentation with application portfolios or enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including facilitation and negotiation.
- High attention to detail with the ability to simplify and clearly articulate complex information.
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to influence outcomes effectively.
