Data Platform Engineer (Node + Data Warehouse)

Kyra is an influencer marketing platform powering campaigns for some of the world’s biggest brands. Our data engine tracks 1 bn+ TikTok and Instagram creators and ingests up to 20 m new profiles every day. We need a seasoned engineer to take our current alpha pipelines and APIs to production scale.

What you'll do

• Re-architect and harden our Node.js scraping service that consumes multiple third-party APIs, ensuring reliability, fault-tolerance and graceful fall-backs
• Optimise and extend our ClickHouse warehouse – designing schemas, partitions and materialised views that make billion-row queries feel instant
• Build and own the REST API that powers our creator search and analytics front-end, focusing on fast, flexible filtering and aggregation
• Implement robust monitoring, alerting and automated testing
• Collaborate daily with the CTO/Founder, product, design and front-end engineers to ship features rapidly and iterate on user feedback

What you'll bring

• 4+ years professional Node.js experience, including production microservices or data pipelines
• Hands-on expertise with columnar/OLAP databases (ClickHouse, BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake or similar)
• Proven track record scaling ingestion systems that hit rate limits, retries and back-off logic across multiple third-party APIs
• Solid understanding of modern API design (REST) and performance tuning (pagination, push-down filters, caching layers)
• Strong testing discipline and familiarity with observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, Sentry, Datadog etc)
• Clear communication, bias for action and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving start-up
