SAS Assurance Team Lead - Inside IR35

A SAS Assurance Team Lead is required for an initial 12 month contract. This role is working remotely and is inside IR35 so will require working via and FCSA accredited umbrella company.

What you'll be doing:
*Leading the development of new assurance processes across both heritages and all products
*Updating, streamlining, and automating existing SAS assurance processes
*Ensuring timely execution and delivery of assurance results
*Acting as a subject matter expert in data, SAS, assurance, and testing across multiple system enhancements and implementations
*Supporting the Systems Management team and mentoring junior team members
*Designing and maintaining robust controls to ensure processes are fit for purpose
*Collaborating with system owners, risk policy owners, and third parties to ensure timely code implementation and issue resolution

Key sills and experience:
*Extensive experience in banking, lending systems, and data management
*Strong proficiency in SAS
*Expert-level understanding of data interrogation and manipulation.
*A high-level qualification in a numerical or coding-based discipline, or equivalent technical experience
*Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
*Proven ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including managing conflict and challenge
*A logical and structured approach to problem-solving across both technical and business domains

Nice to have (but not essential):
*Strong knowledge of data management and development processes, including industry best practices
*Experience providing consultation and subject matter expertise to projects
*Familiarity with data mining tools (eg, SQL) and reporting tools (eg, Power BI)
*Experience with the broader SAS toolset, such as DI Studio and Viya
