Safety Software Engineer

SC Clearance required at a minimum, DV acceptable

Initially until the end of March 2026 with extensions

Inside of IR35

Hybrid working pattern, base location in the South West

This role requires a Software Engineer who has Safety experience.

Experience:

• At least 5 years of software development & test experience.
• At least 5 years experience in Safety Engineering.
• Experience as an acting reviewer and safety auditor
• Knowledge of safety critical SW development, and safety engineering concepts/vocabulary.
• Safety-critical development experience (Defence Air systems preferred)
• Experience in the application of RTCA DO-178B/C or similar open safety standard (e.g. IEC 61508)
• Knowledge and understanding DEFSTAN 00-972 Regulation
• Knowledge and understanding of MAA regulations.
