IT Support Apprentice

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Apprentice to join our team. The successful candidate will provide first-line IT support to staff and learners, assist with maintaining IT equipment and systems and support the management of the college network and infrastructure. 

Role

  • Provide first-line technical support to staff and learners
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot common hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Assist users with Microsoft 365 applications and other college systems
  • Set up, configure, and deploy laptops, desktops, tablets, and other devices
  • Install and update software applications
  • Maintain IT equipment inventories and asset records
  • Assist with equipment repairs and warranty processes
  • Support classroom technology, printers, and audiovisual equipment
  • Help diagnose basic network connectivity issues
  • Assist with user account administration and access permissions
  • Follow college IT security policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Support compliance with GDPR and safeguarding requirements

Training

The Apprentice will attend Sheffield College - City Campus one day per week.
