Job summary
We are seeking two experienced and dynamic Business and Digital Project Managers.
The Business and Digital Project Manager will lead and support the successful delivery of business change, digital transformation and service improvement projects across LCW. The role will work closely with operational, clinical, corporate, digital and external partner teams to ensure projects are well scoped, appropriately governed, delivered on time and within budget, and aligned to organisational priorities.
The postholder will provide structured project management, stakeholder engagement, benefits tracking, risk management and reporting, while promoting consistent PMO standards and supporting the adoption of effective digital solutions and improved ways of working.

Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery and Governance
- Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of assigned business and digital projects from initiation through to closure.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including project initiation documents, business cases, project plans, RAID logs, highlight reports, decision logs and closure reports.
- Apply appropriate project management approaches, including Agile, Waterfall or hybrid methods, depending on project complexity and organisational need.
- Ensure clear scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, success criteria and benefits are defined and agreed with project sponsors and stakeholders.
- Monitor progress against plans, budgets, risks and quality standards, taking corrective action and escalating issues where required.
- Support effective project governance through preparation of papers, reports and updates for project boards, programme boards and senior leadership forums.
Business Change and Digital Transformation
- Work with colleagues to understand business requirements, user needs, service pressures and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business and operational needs into clear project requirements, delivery plans and measurable outcomes.
- Support the design, implementation and adoption of digital tools, systems, platforms and process improvements.
- Ensure projects consider accessibility, information governance, cyber security, data protection, equality impact and operational readiness requirements.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce duplication, improve user experience and strengthen digital maturity across LCW.
- Support change management activities, including engagement plans, communication materials, training coordination and transition into business as usual.
Stakeholder and Supplier Management
- Build effective working relationships with internal teams, senior leaders, service managers, clinicians, corporate functions, external suppliers and partner organisations.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings and project discussions to gather requirements, resolve issues and maintain momentum.
- Manage expectations, communicate complex information clearly and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Work with suppliers and delivery partners to agree deliverables, monitor performance, manage risks and ensure value for money.
- Contribute to procurement activity where required, including supporting requirements definition, evaluation criteria and implementation planning.
PMO Standards, Reporting and Continuous Improvement
- Use and promote LCW PMO standards, templates, governance routes and reporting processes.
- Provide accurate and timely project status reports, including progress, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, benefits and resource requirements.
- Support portfolio visibility by maintaining up-to-date project information and contributing to prioritisation and planning discussions.
- Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement in project delivery practice.
- Contribute to a culture of collaboration, accountability, inclusion and improvement across Digital and PMO work.

Person Specification
Knowledge
- Understanding of digital transformation, business process improvement, user-centred delivery, operational readiness and change adoption.
- Ability to translate user and business requirements into practical delivery plans.
- Knowledge of Lean, service design, user research, benefits management, business analysis or quality improvement approaches.
Experience
- Experience of managing business change, digital, technology or service improvement projects.
- Experience of developing project plans, managing risks and issues, reporting progress and delivering outcomes within agreed time, cost and quality parameters.
- Experience of working with multiple stakeholders across different teams or services.
- Experience of working in health, social care, community services, urgent care, non-profit, public sector or similarly complex service environments.
- Experience of delivering projects involving clinical systems, CRM, workflow tools, reporting platforms, Microsoft 365, automation, digital channels, data and analytics, or integration with supplier systems.
- Experience of working within or alongside a PMO, contributing to portfolio reporting, prioritisation, resource planning or project assurance.
- Experience supporting procurement, contract mobilisation, supplier performance management or benefits realisation for digital products and services.
Qualifications
- Project management qualification or equivalent experience, such as PRINCE2, Agile, APM, Scrum or another recognised methodology. Evidence of continued professional development in project management, digital delivery, business change or improvement.
