Business Development Manager - Autonomous Driving/Robotaxi (UK & Europe)

A leading Chinese mobility platform with over 40 million daily trips, backed by globally recognized strategic investors.

We are now expanding our autonomous driving capabilities to international markets. The UK and Europe are our focus regions for Robotaxi global expansion.

The Stage

We are in exploration phase – the go-to-market model is not yet defined. This is not an "execution" role; it's a "discovery" role.

You will work directly with our headquarters team (China-based) to answer three core questions:

  • Build or partner? Deploy our own fleet or collaborate with local operators?
  • Integrate how? What's the best way to work with existing ride-hailing platforms?
  • Sell what? Which commercial models make sense for Robotaxi in the UK and European markets?

Your mandate is to replace ambiguity with a clear, actionable plan.

What We're Looking For

We need someone who has "been on the journey" – not identical, but has helped bring autonomous vehicles to a new market.

Must-Haves:

  • Direct experience in the autonomous driving / self-driving / Robotaxi industry (selling, deploying, or partnering around the technology itself)
  • Deep understanding of the UK and European mobility ecosystem (ride-hailing platforms, government regulations, local operators)
  • Government relations experience – specifically with autonomous driving permits and regulatory bodies in the UK/Europe

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Existing relationships with major ride-hailing platforms and mobility operators in the UK/Europe

What You'll Own

You will be the on-the-ground expert and the bridge to HQ:

  • Market intelligence: Research regulations, competitor landscape, and partnership opportunities across UK and Europe
  • Partnership development: Identify and engage key players (ride-hailing platforms, fleet operators, local government)
  • Commercial model exploration: Work with HQ to define pricing, revenue share, and operational frameworks
  • Go-to-market strategy: Help shape the "how, when, and with whom" of entering the UK and European markets
