The business uses technology, data and automation to simplify and improve the way property finance is delivered, combining financial expertise with modern technology to create a more efficient customer and lending experience.
As the organisation continues to invest heavily in its technology and data capabilities, they are looking for a Product Owner to help shape and deliver the next generation of data-driven products and platforms.
About the roleAs a Product Owner, you will work closely with the Data Engineering team, technology stakeholders and wider business to define, prioritise and deliver data and AI-focused products.
You will sit at the intersection of product, data and technology, translating business requirements into clear technical outcomes and helping the engineering team deliver solutions that have a measurable impact. This is a hands-on product role for someone who understands data and modern technology and is comfortable working closely with engineers, data professionals and senior stakeholders.
You will play an important role in developing the company's use of data, automation and AI, helping identify opportunities where technology can improve decision-making, operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
Key responsibilitiesOwn and manage the product roadmap across data and AI initiativesWork closely with Data Engineers to define requirements, user stories and acceptance criteriaTranslate business requirements into clear technical and product specificationsPrioritise the product backlog based on business value and technical considerationsWork with engineering teams throughout the development lifecycleIdentify opportunities to use AI, automation and data to improve products and processesCollaborate with stakeholders across Technology, Data, Product and the wider businessHelp define and measure product success through relevant KPIs and outcomesSupport the development of scalable data products and platformsCommunicate product priorities, progress and challenges clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholdersWhat we're looking forPrevious experience working as a Product Owner, Product Manager or similar role within a technology or data-focused environmentStrong understanding of data engineering and modern data platformsExperience working closely with Data Engineers or software engineering teamsGood understanding of Python and its application within data, automation or AI environmentsExperience working with AWS or other cloud platformsStrong understanding of AI and how it can be applied to real-world products and business problemsExperience writing user stories, defining requirements and managing product backlogsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to understand technical concepts and translate them into clear business outcomesDesirable experienceExperience working within financial services, fintech, banking, lending or property technologyExperience delivering AI or machine learning productsKnowledge of modern data architecture and cloud-based data platformsExperience working with APIs, data pipelines or data productsUnderstanding of Agile/Scrum methodologiesWhy join?
