LHH is delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established charitable organisation providing specialist support services across Scotland, as they recruit a temporary 1st Line Support / Help Desk Analyst.
We are seeking a reliable and proactive 1st Line Support / Help Desk Analyst to join a busy and fast-paced IT environment on a temporary basis until the end of April. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a solid foundation in IT support.
In this role, you will be responsible for handling incoming calls and providing first-line technical support to users, while ensuring all issues are accurately logged, managed, and updated within the ticketing system. You will carry out routine tasks such as password resets and basic user account administration and use remote access tools to troubleshoot and resolve user issues efficiently. Where necessary, you will escalate more complex problems to senior support teams, while also supporting general administrative and day-to-day IT support activities.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a 1st line support or help desk environment, with strong call handling and customer service skills. You should be comfortable using ticketing systems and remote desktop tools and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. The ability to prioritise workload, manage multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced setting is essential.
You will be a strong communicator with a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is important, along with a commitment to delivering a high standard of support.
This is a temporary role running until the end of April, so candidates should be immediately available or able to start at short notice.
