Our client, a rapidly-growing business, is seeking a talented Systems Integration Accountant for a temporary contract lasting up to 8 weeks. Role Overview
As a Finance Systems Integration Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in the seamless integration of a newly acquired business into our client's finance ecosystem. With your expertise in SAP Business One and a keen eye for detail, you'll ensure that accounting processes align with Group standards while establishing robust financial controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the acquired entity's accounting processes against Group standards and identify areas for alignment.
- Review and reconcile key general ledger accounts, including Revenue/Sales, Cost of Sales, and Inventory.
- Configure or adjust automated journal postings and accounting mappings in SAP Business One.
- Create and validate a comprehensive fixed asset register.
- Integrate financial data into Group consolidation processes.
- Document and deliver Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for key finance processes.
- Collaborate with Finance and Operations stakeholders to resolve any accounting and systems issues.
- Identify opportunities to enhance controls, efficiency, and data quality throughout the integration process.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a dynamic individual who possesses:
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Hands-on experience with SAP Business One.
- Previous experience in integrating acquired businesses or implementing finance systems.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, including revenue recognition and inventory accounting.
- Proven ability to reconcile complex general ledger accounts and address discrepancies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a sharp attention to detail.
- Strong documentation skills, including experience in creating process maps and SOPs.
- A proactive approach and the ability to thrive in a project-driven environment.
