Interim Head of Finance (Part-Time)

2-3 days per week | Immediate Start | Inside IR35 Day Rate: £350-£400 Location: Hybrid - approx. 2 days per month in Central London

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a high-growth, tech start-up, backed by a global household name, to appoint an Interim Head of Finance on a part-time basis. This is a critical leadership role, sitting at the heart of the business and working closely with the Co-Founder/CEO.

You will take full ownership of the finance function, combining strategic influence with hands-on operational delivery. This role offers significant exposure across multiple entities and the opportunity to shape business decisions, drive improvements, and add real commercial value.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, supporting strategic decision-making
• Own end-to-end finance: management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, FP&A
• Lead Board reporting and present financial insights clearly
• Oversee operations including payroll, AP/AR, banking, and compliance
• Manage Group reporting, audit, VAT, and statutory requirements
• Drive financial controls, process improvements, and performance metrics

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Proven senior finance experience (Head of Finance / Finance Manager level)
• Strong technical and commercial skills, with a hands-on approach
• Ability to operate both strategically and operationally
• Solid understanding of UK financial regulations and Group reporting structures
• Experience in fast-paced/start-up or scale-up environments
• Confident presenting at Board level and influencing stakeholders
