Are you ready to take your payroll expertise to the next level? Our client is looking for a dynamic Payroll Advisor to join their team for an exciting 12-month project. Why This Role Matters: The Payroll Specialist will be a crucial player in the implementation of the this Payroll Project. Your insights will help shape the future of payroll processes, bridging the gap between the operational payroll team, People Systems, and external providers. Together, we'll create a seamless payroll experience for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Elicit & Document Requirements: Gather and validate payroll business requirements, ensuring they translate into effective designs with clear acceptance criteria.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Design, script, and execute UAT, including end-to-end parallel runs. Capture defects, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate fixes.
- Data Migration & Reconciliation: Support the migration of employee master data and pay elements, maintaining thorough audit trails.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure adherence to HMRC regulations and company policies, contributing to process mapping and control documentation.
- Collaboration & Training: Work closely with various teams (People Systems, Payroll, Reward, Finance) to manage impacts and contribute to knowledge transfer and training materials.
- Cutover Planning: Support cutover planning and post-go-live hypercare, tracking KPIs and identifying areas for continuous improvement.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Solid UK Payroll Knowledge: In-depth understanding of in-house payroll processes.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for data quality and accuracy.
- HMRC Requirements Expertise: Familiarity with RTI, FPS/EPS, Tax, NI, and taxable benefits.
- Excel Skills: Strong capabilities in Excel and confidence in handling large datasets; experience with SuccessFactors EC Payroll is a plus.
- UAT Experience: Background in user acceptance testing, documentation, and defect management.
- Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication skills with a knack for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- CIPP Foundation or Equivalent Experience: Relevant qualifications will enhance your application.
Contract Details:
- Contract Type: Temporary
- Daily Rate: £300 - £350
- Start Date: November/December 2025
- Contract Length: 12 months
- Working Pattern: Full Time, 2 days per week on-site in Warwick
