Data Product Manager (SC Cleared) – MOD Environment
We are looking for an experienced Data Product Manager to join a major MOD programme focused on building and scaling enterprise-grade data and analytics products.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role sitting across data engineering, BI, and product ownership, responsible for shaping how data is structured, governed, and consumed across a complex analytical ecosystem.
You will be working in a secure environment where MOD Security Clearance (SC) is essential.
What you’ll be doing
- Own and evolve the roadmap for enterprise data products across a large-scale analytics platform
- Design and shape data models, semantic layers, and reusable data products
- Work closely with engineering teams to deliver modern lakehouse architecture solutions
- Drive data governance, quality, lineage, and compliance standards across all data assets
- Enable high-quality self-service BI and reporting capability across the organisation
- Translate complex business and analytical needs into scalable, production-ready data solutions
- Act as the bridge between technical teams and stakeholders to ensure clarity and delivery focus
Key skills & experience
You will bring strong experience across enterprise data and analytics environments, including:
- Strong background in data product management, BI, or data engineering leadership roles
- Deep experience with Microsoft BI stack:
- SQL Server
- SSRS
- Power BI
- Excel
- Power Automate (Flow)
- Strong enterprise data modelling expertise (dimensional, canonical, and analytical models)
- Hands-on experience with modern lakehouse platforms, ideally Databricks:
- Delta Lake
- Streaming and batch processing
- Performance optimisation
- Unity Catalog / governance
- Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, metadata, and data quality frameworks
- Experience building semantic models and KPI frameworks for enterprise reporting
Experience required
- 8+ years’ experience in enterprise-scale data, BI, or analytics environments
- Experience working across complex, multi-stakeholder organisations
- Defence, government, or regulated environment experience is highly desirable
- Must hold MOD SC clearance
