Mechanical SupervisorLocation: Blyth, North East EnglandSector: Data Centres / Mission CriticalProject: £10bn Hyperscale Data Centre CampusOur client is a leading international main contractor delivering some of Europe's most advanced hyperscale and mission-critical data centre developments. They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join the delivery team on a landmark £10bn hyperscale data centre campus in Blyth, North East England.This flagship development, one of the largest data centre campuses in Europe, will be delivered over the next decade and represents one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the installation of mechanical systems across a major phase of the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, to the highest quality standards and in line with programme requirements.Working closely with Mechanical Construction Managers, engineers, subcontractors and client representatives, you will coordinate day-to-day site activities, oversee specialist installation teams and ensure all mechanical works are completed in accordance with design intent, project specifications and commissioning requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise day-to-day mechanical installation activities across the projectCoordinate mechanical subcontractors and specialist installation teamsOversee the installation of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, pipework, public health services, cooling infrastructure and associated mechanical plantEnsure works are completed safely, to programme and in accordance with project specificationsMonitor productivity and identify potential delays or programme risksCarry out site inspections, quality checks and ensure defects are rectified promptlyCoordinate interfaces between mechanical, electrical, CSA and commissioning teamsReview drawings, technical documentation and installation sequencesEnsure materials, plant and labour resources are available to support project deliveryMaintain accurate site records, progress reports and inspection documentationPromote and enforce the highest standards of health, safety and environmental complianceSupport testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover activitiesRequirementsProven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on major construction projectsPrevious experience delivering hyperscale data centres, mission-critical facilities, industrial or large-scale commercial developmentsStrong technical knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, pipework, public health services and mechanical building servicesExperience supervising mechanical subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teamsGood understanding of QA/QC, testing and commissioning processesAbility to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentationSSSTS or SMSTS qualificationCSCS cardFirst Aid qualification desirableStrong leadership, organisational and communication skillsPackageHighly competitive salary + comprehensive packageRotation / Accommodation / Living allowance / Travel allowanceBonus / Car allowance / Private healthcare / Enhanced pension / Life assuranceLong-term opportunity on one of Europe's largest hyperscale data centre developmentsThis is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's largest and most technically advanced construction programmes.
