Test Automation Lead

Role: Test Automation LeadClient: Financial Services Location: Manchester

Engagement: Contract 12 months initialIR35: UmbrellaStart: ASAP

Overview:My Client are seeking Test Automation Leads to support a leading and growing technology stream. The focus is on advancing automation maturity through scalable, self-sustaining test frameworks built around TDD principles.

Core Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Java for test automation
• Expertise in Selenium and Playwright (UI and API testing)
• BDD development using Cucumber and Gherkin
• Deep understanding of TDD methodology
• Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks
• Demonstrable leadership in guiding and upskilling engineers
• Ability to influence engineering culture and embed best practice
