Position: 3-5 PQE Commercial & Technology Solicitor

Salary: £65,000-£75,000

Location: Reading, Berkshire (2d/w in-office)

A top-tier Legal 500 firm with a national offering is looking for an experienced Solicitor to expand their commercial team, focusing on commercial technology transactions. This team sees interesting and high-value work advising clients on the legal aspects of software, IT services, and telecommunications, with the quality of their work unmatched outside of London. They provide a work/life balance including excellent hybrid working and a competitive salary. This role would be a great fit for a commercial contract Solicitor that has touched upon technology contracts and is interested in expanding it into a specialism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing complex contracts and commercial matters for national and international technology clients.
• Collaborating with senior solicitors and partners on high-value and ultra-high-value matters.
• Advising on commercial contracts, SaaS agreements and other technology contracts, AI, digital media, data protection, and intellectual property management.
• Develop a client-base handling clients directly and developing ongoing relationships,
• Assist with the continued growth of the team and greater firm.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience as a qualified Solicitor, equivalent to 3-5 PQE (other levels will be considered), ideally within a Legal 500, boutique, national, or international firm.
• Demonstrated track record of high quality experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts to include some SaaS and technology matters.
• Confidence with contract due diligence.
• Proven attention to detail is key, due to the significant value of these matters.
• The ability to comfortably interact directly with clients, colleagues, and other parties.
