Solution Architect (Sitecore)

Location: Hybrid (UK)

Type: Contract - Inside IR35 - £800 a day

About the Role

A leading organisation in the health and insurance sector is seeking a Sitecore Solution Architect to shape and deliver modern digital experience platforms. You'll design scalable solutions, guide engineering teams, and support key digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

  • Design Sitecore-based solutions (XM / XP / XM Cloud).
  • Define content models, components, workflows, and governance.
  • Translate requirements into clear architectural designs.

Technical Leadership

  • Lead development teams on Sitecore best practices (Helix, SXA, headless).
  • Oversee solution quality, performance, and security.

Integrations & Modernisation

  • Integrate Sitecore with CRM, identity, marketing, analytics, and APIs.
  • Support Azure PaaS, XM Cloud, or containerised deployments.
  • Assist with migrations from legacy CMS platforms.

Collaboration & Governance

  • Work with product, UX, and business teams on solution direction.
  • Define standards for DevOps, deployments, and content workflows.
  • Drive platform optimisation and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Strong Sitecore experience as a Solution Architect or Senior Developer.
  • Proficient in .NET, C#, Azure, and API integrations.
  • Knowledge of Helix, SXA, and headless architecture.
  • Experience designing scalable, high-performing digital platforms.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder skills.

Desirable

  • Experience in regulated sectors (insurance/healthcare/finance).
  • Knowledge of analytics, personalisation, and marketing automation.
  • Familiarity with Managed Cloud, XM Cloud, or Kubernetes.
  • Agile delivery experience.
