Job Title: Risk & AI Governance Consultant

Location: Remote

Basic Salary: £75,000 - £90,000

Summary:

An exciting opportunity to join a leading enterprise business as an AI Governance Consultant. This role will focus on ensuring AI systems are developed and deployed responsibly, ethically, and in line with regulatory and organisational standards. You’ll play a key part in embedding governance frameworks, managing risks, and supporting compliance with evolving AI regulations across the UK and EU.

Objectives:

  • Drive the development and implementation of AI governance and risk frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and internal governance standards.
  • Provide guidance to technical and non-technical stakeholders on responsible AI use.
  • Support continuous improvement of AI risk management and assurance processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk assessments and governance reviews of AI use cases, ensuring ethical and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain AI governance documentation, policies, and risk registers while monitoring compliance metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Legal, Compliance, IT Security, Data) to align AI governance with broader frameworks.
  • Deliver training, awareness, and guidance to support consistent governance practices across the business.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong background in governance, risk management, compliance, or data ethics.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as UK GDPR, EU AI Act, ISO/IEC 42001, or NIST AI RMF.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable governance processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
