Our client is a leading data and analytics consultancy helping organisations modernise their data platforms and unlock value through cloud, engineering, and AI-driven analytics. They work with enterprise clients across multiple industries, delivering scalable, future-proof data solutions that combine strong engineering with pragmatic architecture.
As part of continued growth in the UK, they are looking to hire a Data Architect who has solid foundational data architecture experience and is keen to deepen their exposure to modern platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Generative AI.
The Opportunity
- Contribute to the design and evolution of modern data architectures across cloud environments
- Support the modernisation and optimisation of enterprise data platforms, including ingestion, transformation, and analytics layers
- Work closely with senior architects and engineers, gaining hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and emerging GenAI use cases
- Balance architectural thinking with hands-on delivery in real-world client environments
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting the design of scalable, secure data architectures on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Working with modern data technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, and ETL/ELT tooling
- Helping define data models, ingestion patterns, and governance approaches
- Collaborating with engineers, analysts, and client stakeholders to deliver production-ready data solutions
- Gaining exposure to AI and GenAI-enabled data platforms, including experimentation and proof-of-concept work
What you will bring
- 3+ years in a Data Architecture role
- Experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data platform roles with some exposure to data architecture principles
- Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modelling, and cloud data platforms
- Strong SQL skills and working knowledge of Python or similar languages
- An interest in modern data platforms and emerging technologies, including Databricks, Snowflake, and AI-driven analytics
- Ability to work collaboratively in client-facing or consulting-style environments
This role does not require deep, enterprise-wide architecture ownership from day one, the focus is on strong fundamentals, curiosity, and the desire to grow into a broader architectural role.
