Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, install, and configure .NET and other web applications.
- Manage SQL Server databases, permissions, backups, and script deployments.
- Perform structured releases across DEV, TEST, and PRD environments.
- Configure and manage virtualised Servers (eg, VMWare) with performance tuning.
- Install and support packaged applications such as BizTalk, Dynamics CRM, and Pega.
- Maintain deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting documentation.
- Monitor systems, logs, backups, and server resources; ensure availability and integrity.
- Administer Active Directory: users, groups, and service accounts.
- Assist with disaster recovery planning, testing, and out-of-hours deployments.
- Identify automation opportunities in deployments, maintenance, and environment refreshes.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, and platform teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop CI/CD policies, standards, and training materials to support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Application deployment/configuration experience
- Strong SQL Management experience
- Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills
- Build and deployment pipeline creation and maintenance
- Automation experience
- Windows Server, SQL Server Management Studio
- Virtualisation (VMWare)
- Package management (CloudSmith, Artifactory)
- Containers: Minikube, Docker, Kubernetes
- CI/CD with SAST/SCA
- DevOps tools: Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, AWS CI/CD, TeamCity, OctopusDeploy
- Terraform, Ansible
- PowerShell Scripting
