GCP Platform Engineer (Contract) \n

Contract Length: Initial 3 months
Rate: £375/day (Inside IR35)
Location: Sheffield - 3 days per week onsite (Negotiable after some time)

Overview \n

We're looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to join a fast-paced engineering team, supporting and enhancing a cloud-based platform within a regulated environment. The role will focus on platform support, cloud infrastructure, and contributing to the build-out of an Identity & Access Management (IAM) platform.

Key Responsibilities \n

• Support, maintain and optimise a cloud platform in a production environment.

\n

• Build and improve platform infrastructure and automation.

\n

• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure platform reliability, scalability and security.

\n

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of an IAM platform.

\n

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform and infrastructure issues.

\n

• Promote platform engineering best practices and continuous improvement.

\n Required Skills & Experience \n

\n
• Proven experience as a Platform Engineer in enterprise environments.

\n

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

\n

• Experience supporting and operating cloud platforms in production.

\n

• Solid understanding of infrastructure, automation and platform engineering principles.

\n

• Previous experience within Financial Services or another regulated industry.

\n

• Exposure to Identity & Access Management (IAM) is highly desirable.
