Overview

La Fosse have partnered with a leading media organisation who are undergoing a cloud migration and are seeking an AWS Solution Architect to lead the design and evolution of its cloud estate. The role focuses on ensuring cloud platforms are secure, scalable, cost-efficient, and aligned with AWS best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain target and transition architectures for AWS environments.
• Drive adoption of infrastructure-as-code and GitOps principles for consistent, automated delivery.
• Lead design forums and provide architectural governance across multiple projects.
• Develop cloud roadmaps covering network segmentation, identity, observability, and resilience.
• Embed security, compliance, and resilience into all architectural designs.
• Manage cost optimisation, including RI/SP planning and right-sizing.
• Mentor engineers and architects on AWS best practices and emerging technologies.
• Stay abreast of AWS innovations (e.g. AI/ML services, Graviton, EKS Blueprints).

Required Experience

• Extensive experience in cloud/infrastructure architecture with strong hands-on AWS expertise.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services (e.g. EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, Control Tower).
• Skilled in Terraform or CloudFormation, and CI/CD automation.
• Strong understanding of network and security design, hybrid environments, and zero-trust principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days per week in the Central London office.
