Senior Data Architect (Enterprise Data & Analytics)
La Fosse are supporting a large, complex organisation undergoing a major business separation and transformation programme, and are looking for a Senior Data Architect to take ownership of its enterprise data landscape.
This is a senior, hands-on architecture leadership role, responsible for defining and governing how data is designed, integrated, validated and reported across the organisation - both during and after separation from a parent company.
What you'll be responsible for
- Acting as the design authority for enterprise data architecture across finance, HR, payroll, planning and operational domains
- Assessing a complex, partly undocumented current-state data landscape and defining a clear target-state architecture
- Ensuring Day 1 and TSA continuity, while laying foundations for long-term modernisation
- Designing and governing data flows across SaaS platforms, cloud analytics environments and bespoke systems
- Establishing data governance, quality, lineage and standards that work across multiple vendors and platforms
- Leading data validation, reconciliation and cutover activities during separation
- Challenging and coordinating multiple SI and vendor teams
- Providing leadership and guidance to data engineers, BI developers and analysts
What we're looking for
- Strong experience in enterprise data architecture across complex, multi-system environments
- Experience across modern cloud and SaaS data technologies, such as Oracle Fusion (Finance/HR/EPM), Microsoft Azure data platforms (Fabric, Synapse, Data Lake, Power BI), and enterprise integration tools (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Oracle Integration Cloud or equivalents).
- Proven involvement in carve-outs, demergers, TSAs or large-scale transformations
- Deep understanding of data integration, modelling, analytics and governance
- Experience working with cloud data platforms and SaaS applications (tool-agnostic mindset preferred)
- Comfortable making architectural decisions with incomplete information and tight timelines
- Confident communicator able to translate complex data topics for senior stakeholders
Why this role is different
- You'll be filling a critical gap in the organisation
- You'll have genuine architectural authority, not just advisory input
- You'll shape both short-term continuity and long-term data strategy
- You'll work at the intersection of business risk, data quality and transformation
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced Data Architect to contribute to a high-profile carve-out programme within a leading organisation, operating on a 12-month contract at £800 per day, outside IR35.
