La Fosse have partnered with a leading SaaS business operating within their niche space. We are seeking Data Engineers to become a key part of our client’s data platform team. This is a hands-on role where you will design, build, and maintain the infrastructure and data pipelines that power analytics and machine learning across the organisation.

About You

  • You have a technical background (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field).
  • Strong data engineering fundamentals, including pipeline design, orchestration, testing, and monitoring.
  • Confident writing production-quality Python and complex SQL across modern data platforms.
  • Experience deploying and running ML systems in production, including model serving and monitoring.
  • Comfortable working across cloud infrastructure (ideally AWS) and familiar with platform and DevOps principles.
  • Enjoy working in fast-moving environments where your work has real impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Take ownership of data infrastructure and pipelines, ensuring reliable flow from ingestion to production models and real-time decisioning.
  • Build, ship, and maintain robust ETL/ELT workflows that ensure high-quality, reliable data across the platform.
  • Deploy and support production ML systems, from forecasting models to LLM-driven workflows, with proper monitoring, versioning, and CI/CD.
  • Maintain and enhance our AWS-native data platform (S3, Redshift, RDS, Athena, SageMaker, Lambda), driving operational best practices and reliability.
  • Write and optimise complex SQL to support analytics, reporting, and downstream BI tooling.
  • Build integrations with internal services and partner systems, ensuring clean and scalable data access.
  • Act as a go-to technical partner for production data issues, diagnosing problems and improving resilience.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong Python and SQL skills.
  • Solid experience in data engineering, ML system deployment, and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
  • Experience with data orchestration, testing, and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes and best practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement scalable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
