Data Platform Engineer – Hybrid (London) - Tech for good - Renewables

Salary: Up to £85,000 + 10% discretionary bonus

Location: Hybrid working, 2 days per week in London office

La Fosse are excited to be working with a tech for good company who are hiring for a Data Platform Engineer to support the development of their data platform. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the data infrastructure of a forward-thinking company with a real-world mission.

What you will do:

• Build and evolve a robust cloud-based data platform to enable scalable and secure data integration
• Support the developer experience by implementing tools and frameworks used across multiple teams
• Define, build and maintain best practices in system architecture, governance, and cybersecurity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Leverage modern DevOps practices including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and orchestration tools

We are looking for someone with:

• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform
• Proficiency with modern DevOps and orchestration technologies such as GitHub Actions, Docker/ECR, Kubernetes/EKS, Airflow/MWAA
• A background in supporting large-scale data environments (Snowflake experience desirable)
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, able to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
