The Opportunity
You’ll be part of a forward‐thinking engineering function operating a fully cloud-first platform. Collaborating with architecture, security and product teams, you'll help design, optimise, and maintain secure, resilient and high‐performing database services supporting a global user base.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and optimise cloud‐based database environments
- Implement secure and reliable backup, restore and recovery processes
- Design schemas, indexes and database structures aligned to engineering standards
- Monitor, troubleshoot and tune database performance
- Apply modern SecDevOps / CloudOps practices to drive automation and repeatability
- Uphold database governance, standards and best practices
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ experience in database administration
- Strong background with Azure (AWS/GCP exposure beneficial)
- Proficiency in SQL, scripting (e.g., Python), and database tooling
- Experience in cloud-native environments and modern DevOps practices
- Strong problem‐solving, communication and analytical skills
- Comfortable working across both Windows and Linux environments
