Salary: Up to 115,000 per annum

Location: Hybrid / London based

We are seeking a seasoned Enterprise Architect specialising in cyber security to lead the development of security strategies, architectural roadmaps, and governance frameworks. This newly created role will sit within the Enterprise Architecture (EA) function , working closely with the Cyber Security team to embed a secure by design approach across the organisations technology landscape.

You will play a pivotal role in translating business strategy into a robust security architecture, ensuring alignment with current and future enterprise needs. This includes producing architectural artefacts such as landscapes, principles, standards, and insights, while providing architectural assurance and guidance to technical teams across the wider technology function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the organisations cyber security architecture, strategy, and roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technology to scope and shape future architectural plans.
  • Design and maintain conceptual and logical security views across application and technology domains.
  • Develop and manage security taxonomies and component glossaries.
  • Evaluate and recommend security technologies based on risk, performance, scalability, and cost.
  • Conduct secure-by-design impact assessments for new initiatives.
  • Establish and monitor compliance with security principles and standards.
  • Lead and support solution architecture and design activities, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Maintain a centralised, version-controlled repository of architectural assets, standards, and models.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand and support data and system security needs.
  • Advise governance bodies and project boards on security-related matters.
  • Promote best practices and continuous improvement in security architecture.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to inform future platform development.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect with a focus on cyber security.
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Experience in modernising legacy systems and implementing secure, scalable architectures (e.g. microservices).
  • Knowledge of pragmatic governance and assurance practices.
  • Proficiency in architectural modelling languages (e.g. UML, ArchiMate).
  • Familiarity with architectural tools and repositories (ideally Bizzdesign or similar).
  • Understanding of database systems and data architecture concepts.
  • Experience with enterprise systems such as CRM, Finance, HR, and integration platforms.
  • Strong grasp of technology and data risk management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive change across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Awareness of industry trends and emerging security technologies.
