Salary: £90,000–£100,000 + benefits
About the business
We’re partnering with a well-established digital product delivery consultancy/agency that designs, and builds high-impact digital experiences (including websites, mobile apps and e-commerce platforms) for globally recognised brands. The business combines UX/UI design, engineering and data expertise to help clients accelerate growth and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Following continued growth, they are looking for a hands-on Head of Delivery to lead a small but high-performing team while remaining close to clients and delivery.
The role
This is a player–coach position combining hands-on client delivery, team leadership, and portfolio oversight. You’ll lead a team of six while ensuring projects are delivered predictably, commercially and to a high quality bar.
You do not need to currently hold the title “Head of,” but you must be operating at senior/lead level within a similar digital agency or consultancy environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a Delivery team of ~6 (PMs, Delivery Managers, or similar)
- Oversee the health, performance and commercial outcomes of the project portfolio
- Work directly with clients as a senior delivery partner and trusted advisor
- Strengthen delivery governance, risk management and reporting
- Implement and continuously improve scalable delivery processes and standards
- Support pre-sales activity, pitches and solution shaping
- Ensure strong collaboration across product, design and engineering
- Drive a culture of accountability, predictability and high-quality delivery
What we’re looking for
- Currently operating at Lead / Principal Delivery level or above
- Background in a digital agency, product consultancy or similar environment (essential)
- Proven experience managing complex digital product or platform deliveries
- Strong commercial awareness across margins, forecasting and portfolio health
- Comfortable being hands-on with clients while leading internally
- Experience improving delivery maturity and ways of working
- Confident in pre-sales and client growth conversations
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Pragmatic, calm and outcome-focused leadership style
Working pattern
- Mostly remote
- A few days per month in the London office
- Occasional client site visits
