La Fosse is partnered with a leading global insurer to appoint an IT Operational Platforms & Security Lead. A key leadership role driving infrastructure operations, cloud transformation, and cyber security excellence across a complex, global technology estate.

The Opportunity

You’ll take ownership of the company’s infrastructure and security platforms , leading a small in-house team and managing an MSP to deliver a secure, resilient, and scalable IT environment.

This is a hands-on leadership role; strategic enough to shape direction, but close enough to the technology to make a difference day-to-day.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve infrastructure operations across Azure , Microsoft 365 , and hybrid cloud environments
• Drive cloud migration , lifecycle management, and reduction of technical debt
• Enhance and secure the global IT estate, including patching , IAM , endpoint protection , and monitoring
• Own and optimise disaster recovery , business continuity , and compliance ( ISO 27001 , GDPR , FCA )
• Oversee third-party vendors to ensure performance, SLAs, and service delivery are met
• Embed DevOps principles and automation to increase efficiency and reliability

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in IT infrastructure operations and Microsoft Azure
• Deep technical expertise in Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Intune)
• Strong background in cybersecurity , including Zero Trust, IAM, and tools such as Defender and Sentinel
• Hands-on technical capability with the confidence to step in when required
• A leadership mindset - influencing, challenging, and driving continuous improvement
• Experience managing global teams and outsourced partners
