M365 Engineer
We are working with a well-established organisation seeking a generalist Microsoft 365 Engineer to join their Digital Workplace function. This role is focused on the day-to-day administration, optimisation and support of the Microsoft 365 environment, with a strong emphasis on collaboration tools and user experience.
This is a hybrid role, with flexibility to be based from either Glasgow or London.
The Role
As an M365 Engineer, you will be responsible for the smooth running and continuous improvement of the Microsoft 365 estate, supporting users and working closely with wider IT teams to ensure services are secure, reliable and aligned to best practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Administration and support of the core Microsoft 365 suite, including Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Exchange Online
- Managing the M365 environment via the M365 Admin Centre
- Supporting BAU operations, incidents, requests and escalations
- Monitoring service health and responding to Microsoft 365 service updates and changes
- Supporting governance, compliance and security controls across M365
- Assisting with adoption, optimisation and user enablement of collaboration tools
- Working collaboratively with security, infrastructure and support teams
About You
You will be a well-rounded M365 Engineer with solid hands-on experience across the Microsoft 365 stack, comfortable working in a BAU-focused environment.
Key experience includes:
- Strong experience across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, particularly Teams
- Background supporting M365 in an enterprise environment
- Experience working with ticketing systems and SLAs
- Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills
- Understanding of M365 governance and best practices
Desirable (not essential):
- Experience with Microsoft Purview
- Exposure to or experience supporting Microsoft Copilot
- Broader knowledge of security and compliance tooling within M365
Location & Package
- Location: Glasgow or London (Hybrid working)
- Salary: Up to £65,000 depending on experience
- Working model: Hybrid / flexible
