- £600 per day (Inside IR35) - can be higher for the right candidate

Network Engineer – Observability, Telemetry, Monitoring and Performance
We are seeking a strong Network Engineer with solid experience in Telemetry, Observability, Monitoring and Performance, ideally gained within a high-availability Site Reliability Engineering environment. You will help shape how telemetry data is collected, processed and turned into meaningful insight, while raising the value of observability tools across the estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure observability is built into the software delivery life cycle and continuous integration and delivery processes.
- Design and deliver telemetry pipelines for metrics, logs, traces and events.
- Create and maintain observability standards, network monitoring systems, dashboards, alerting frameworks and service-level objectives.
- Integrate and improve observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus and Grafana
Required Experience
- Previous experience within Network or Platform Observability in large and complex distributed environments.
- Strong capability with tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Elastic, Loki, Jaeger or similar.
- Ability in at least one programming language, such as Python, Go or Java, and experience using infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Helm.
- Strong understanding of cloud native architectures, including Kubernetes, microservices and service meshes.
- Strong network engineer background or knowledge (Arista, firewalls etc.)
