PMO Lead

PMO Lead - £85,000 - Setting up PMO function - Remote

We are looking for an experienced PMO Lead to establish and run a technology and product PMO for a global technology organisation - circa 700 employees.

*Please apply for this role if you have established a PMO function previously, only candidates who have proven experience of setting up a PMO function from scratch will be considered, due to client requirements.*

The role will require some onsite presence to begin with in Oxfordshire to establish relationships and then can develop to fully remote.

This is a hands-on, autonomous role where you’ll work closely with the CTO, CPO, Project Managers and senior leadership, creating greater visibility and control across the technology portfolio.

Key responsibilities:

🔹 Establish and continuously improve the PMO framework, governance and reporting

🔹 Provide portfolio-level oversight across milestones, RAID, dependencies and delivery health

🔹 Develop visibility of resource demand, capacity and utilisation

🔹 Track budgets, forecasts, costs and benefits alongside Finance

🔹 Produce concise, decision-focused reporting for executive and Board audiences

🔹 Challenge Project Managers constructively and drive consistent reporting without direct line authority

🔹 Improve and automate portfolio reporting and processes

What we’re looking for:

✅ Experience establishing, resetting or significantly improving a PMO

✅ Strong technology/product portfolio experience including Azure DevOps experience

✅ Excellent portfolio governance and delivery assurance capability

✅ Experience with resource/capacity planning and project financials

✅ Confident working directly with CTO/CPO/Board-level stakeholders

✅ Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge

✅ Comfortable operating as a highly autonomous, hands-on PMO Lead

💰 Up to £85,000 ( may be flexible)

🏠 Onsite initially in Oxfordshire, then the role can develop to remote
