Principal Engineer

Principal Engineer - Permanent - £100,000 to £115,000 - Hybrid (2 days per week in London)

La Fosse has partnered with a customer engagement partner to recruit a Principal Engineer to join their growing team. This role is focused on shaping scalable, integration-led platforms, playing a key part in defining technical strategy and driving architectural decisions across a complex digital ecosystem. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing architectural ownership with technical leadership, in a role that is predominantly strategic (circa 80%) with some hands-on involvement.

You’ll operate at a senior level, working closely with engineering and business stakeholders to design robust, cloud-native solutions, while remaining close enough to delivery to guide implementation and ensure best practice.

Key Requirements

• Strong experience with TypeScript (Node.js or React)
• Proven background designing systems on AWS (EKS, Lambda, Aurora RDS)
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of API design and integration patterns
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka beneficial)
• Familiarity with CI/CD (GitHub Actions)
• Experience integrating with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
