Product Owner
We’re hiring: Product Owner (Customs) | £50,000 + benefits | Southampton (Hybrid)
We’re partnering with a leading global logistics and trade‐technology organisation seeking a Product Owner to support the evolution of its next‐generation customs management platform.
In this role, you’ll sit at the heart of digital customs transformation—translating complex regulatory requirements into clear product needs, helping shape system behaviour, and ensuring the platform remains compliant, intuitive, and competitive. You’ll work closely with SMEs, BAs, and offshore development teams to bring features to life and support customers across the UK and Europe.
You’ll join a growing delivery‐focused product function, reporting into an experienced Product Manager and collaborating across a mixed team with both technical and operational backgrounds. Expect a blend of hands‐on requirement ownership, regulatory interpretation, and product delivery support—plus exposure to international markets as the platform expands.
What you’ll bring:
- Strong experience in customs, trade compliance, or logistics environments
- Clear understanding of end‐to‐end customs declaration processes (e.g., CDS, ENS, GVMS)
- Ability to interpret regulatory changes and translate them into product requirements
- Experience shaping functional and non‐functional requirements, user stories, and process flows
- Comfortable working with onshore/offshore development teams and supporting testing cycles
- Confident communicator able to explain complex workflows to technical and non‐technical audiences
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
- Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and quality
- Exposure to Agile or hybrid delivery environments
