Data Project Manager - Outside IR35 - £450 per day

Role Overview

A private equity backed data & insight business is seeking a Data Project Manager to lead the delivery of strategic data and insight initiatives across research, analytics, product, and commercial teams. As a data and insight-led business, this role plays a critical part in ensuring high-quality, well-governed, and scalable data solutions that enhance rankings, digital products, and client insight offerings

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of data and insight projects, including data platform enhancements, BI/reporting transformation, CRM improvements, and governance frameworks.
• Translate business and research requirements into clear data solutions, partnering closely with data engineering, analytics, and product teams.
• Drive improvements in data quality, taxonomy alignment, master data management, and structured insight capture.
• Manage project timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful implementation and adoption.
• Promote a data-driven culture by embedding measurable KPIs, governance standards, and scalable processes.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience delivering complex data projects within a data, research, or insight-driven organisation.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality management, and reporting ecosystems.
• Experience working with BI tools, CRM systems, and data warehouse environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
