Senior Platform Engineer (Kubernetes)

I'm working with a highly technical organisation looking to engage an experienced Senior Platform/Kubernetes Engineer to support and evolve a large-scale, on-premises Kubernetes platform.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on platform reliability, automation, observability, security, and developer enablement using a modern cloud-native toolset, all running within private infrastructure.

Hybrid Working – Up to 1 day per week on-site

£600–£650 per day

Outside IR35

Initial 6-Month Contract

Key Skills Required:

Kubernetes (advanced administration and operations)

Platform Engineering / SRE experience

Talos Linux

Cilium Networking

CI/CD and automation

Vault (secrets management)

Strong documentation and communication skills

Experience supporting production environments

Environment:

This is not a cloud engineering role. The entire platform operates on-premises, leveraging cloud-native technologies and engineering practices across a sophisticated Kubernetes estate.

We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, work independently, and bring strong platform engineering expertise to a complex and evolving environment.
