Senior Product Manager - Disputes
🚀 Senior Product Manager – Payments Disputes & Chargebacks
📍 London (Hybrid – 3 days in office)
💰 £110,000 - £130,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Happy to announce that we have been engaged by a global fintech that is scaling one of the most commercially critical areas of its payments platform.
This role sits within the core payment processing function, focused on disputes, chargebacks and building proactive tooling to improve merchant outcomes at scale.
You’ll be joining a team undergoing significant transformation, moving from reactive operational delivery into a highly product-led, data-driven environment with a strong focus on automation, machine learning and scalable product strategy.
This is a genuinely high ownership role where product thinking, leadership and execution matter more than ticking every domain box.
What you’ll be doing:
• Owning the product strategy and roadmap across disputes and chargebacks
• Building scalable products and tooling to improve dispute defence and merchant outcomes
• Working closely with engineering, operations, legal and commercial teams to automate complex workflows
• Driving improvements across performance metrics including win rates, representment success and operational efficiency
• Collaborating with senior stakeholders across multiple business functions to influence direction and prioritisation
• Partnering with engineering teams to build machine learning-driven capabilities focused on predictive dispute defence
• Translating complex payment ecosystem challenges into clear product opportunities and deliverables
• Scaling and growing a product area that is receiving significant investment and visibility internally
What they’re looking for:
• 5+ years Product Management experience within complex environments
• Strong ownership mentality with the ability to drive initiatives independently
• Excellent product craft, prioritisation and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working closely with engineering teams on technical or data-heavy products
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use metrics to shape decision making
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and solving problems from first principles
• Payments, fraud, disputes or fintech experience is helpful, but not essential
• Machine learning, optimisation or workflow automation experience would be highly beneficial
Why this role:
• Opportunity to own a business-critical product area within a global fintech environment
• Chance to build proactive, intelligent tooling rather than maintaining legacy operational processes
• High visibility role with strong backing and investment from leadership
• Strong product culture focused on ownership, impact and autonomy
• Opportunity to work on genuinely complex payment and data problems at scale
• Clear progression potential as the team and function continue to expand
• International team collaboration with occasional overseas travel opportunities
