Test Lead

Test Lead (Automation) - £65,000 to £70,000 - London (1 day per week) - Cypress Experience

Please note: this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship and requires commuting to the London office one day per week.

La Fosse is supporting a major legal organisation that is in the middle of a big step-change in how they build and deliver software. We are looking for an Automation Test Lead who can elevate how testing is done here — owning the strategy, setting the guardrails, and raising the bar across engineering quality and automation.

This is a role where you’ll be able to actually influence the direction, not just execute it. You’ll introduce modern, automation-first thinking, bring in pragmatic AI-led test approaches where they make sense, and coach / level-up a strong QA function around you

Key requirements:

• Demonstrated track record guiding and developing QA / Automation Engineers in a modern, agile delivery model.
• Practical experience using Cypress or Playwright as core tooling for web UI + functional validation.
• Strong, hands-on background building and scaling automation in JavaScript/TypeScript based frameworks.
• Solid grounding in API testing, data validation, and the patterns / heuristics that make those reliable.
• Comfortable working within contemporary CI/CD ecosystem

1 - Technical Interview over teams with Head of QA

2 - In Person interview with Head of QA and Head of Engineering
