Laboris Solutions are working with a privately-owned company originally formed around technology from Oxford University. Headquartered in the UK with overseas subsidiaries, the company has established a reputation for rapid delivery of specialist equipment within industrial environments.
The company seeks a new software engineer to work on multiple automation and monitoring projects, including the development of a web-based analytics platform for IoT sensor data.
This is a permanent position, on-site at our offices in Oxfordshire. Ideally, you will be locally based, or within 45 minutes commute.
Candidate profile
- Strong theoretical background in computer science
- Ability to integrate effectively within a multidisciplined team of engineers
- Open-mindedness towards learning new technologies
- Strong work ethic
Qualifications and experience levels
- Educated to degree or master’s-level in computer science or a related discipline
- At least two years of experience in a relevant software development position
Skills – Required
Tangible and credible experience is required in the following:
- Strong C# development experience using .NET8 or newer
- Good understanding of using Git for software version control
- Emphasis on code quality and testing methodologies
Skills – Desirable
Experience in one or more of the following would be beneficial:
- Web development: ASP.NET, Blazor
- GUI development: Avalonia, WPF
- Databases and Entity Framework
- Container orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
- General Linux system administration
- Computer vision
