As my clients technology platform continues to expand, they're looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team who specialises in .Net. You will work on a variety of exciting automation and monitoring projects, including the development of a web-based analytics platform for IoT sensor data used for bespoke applications.

This role offers the opportunity to work across modern software development, IoT data systems, and industrial technology, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers.

This is a permanent, on-site role at their Oxfordshire office, ideally suited to candidates living locally or within a 45-minute commute.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and developing software for automation and monitoring systems
  • Contributing to the development of a web-based analytics platform for IoT sensor data
  • Writing high-quality, maintainable code using modern development practices
  • Collaborating with software, hardware, and systems engineers to deliver integrated solutions
  • Implementing testing strategies and code quality standards

About You

You are a motivated software engineer with a strong technical foundation and a passion for building reliable, high-quality software. You enjoy working collaboratively and are keen to learn new technologies in a fast-moving engineering environment.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a strong theoretical background in computer science
  • Works effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Is curious and open to learning new technologies
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and attention to detail

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or Master’s in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 2+ years’ experience in a professional software development role

Required Technical Skills

  • C# development using .NET 8 or newer
  • Git for version control and collaborative development
  • Writing clean, well-tested code with strong testing practices

Desirable Skills

  • Web development – ASP.NET, Blazor
  • GUI development – Avalonia, WPF
  • Databases and ORM frameworks – Entity Framework
  • Containerisation and orchestration – Docker, Kubernetes
  • Linux system administration
  • Computer vision technologies
