Network Engineer 

My client is recruiting a Network Engineer for their large internal team, the role is field-based. The new role is for a upcoming contract starting in June with Plug & Play nature. Outside IR35.

Hours of Work:

6am - 11am 

Rate:

£170-£200 per day (per 5 hour shift)

Key Responsibilities

• You will be involved in:
• Maintaining WAN, LAN, Wireless LAN connectivity between locations
• Deploy and configure SD WAN Edge router and security firewalls.
• Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures on a daily basis
• Create and maintain detailed network documentation and procedures

Skills & Experience

• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or with similar qualifications (not a requirement)
• Experience in supporting a network environment including firewalls / VPN, Cisco ASA firewalls and Checkpoint platforms (not a requirement)
• Good knowledge of key networking protocols used in design and operation, including routing protocols.
• Knowledge of WAN implementation and monitoring.
• Knowledge of campus LAN, Wi-Fi networks.
• Knowledge of WAN/LAN environment.
• Troubleshooting network performance using multiple diagnostic and monitoring tools to analyse traffic and provide capacity planning and remediation.
• Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to the current environment.
• Willingness to participate in a dynamic team.
